Supermarkets are of course all about sales, generating as much turnover as possible per customer. Every customer has a shopping list, but is always sensitive to offers, for example. Supermarkets often use smart sales techniques to stimulate impulse purchases. For example, they place A-brand products at eye level, customers have to walk through the entire store to get to all departments and make extensive use of linked sales.
By hanging screens in strategic places, the purchasing behavior of customers can be influenced. For example, show a short recipe video, where a chef clearly explains how to prepare something. Put all the ingredients in a refrigerator/shelf close to the screen, then there is a big chance that these products will end up in the shopping cart.
Or show a great offer at the checkout and place the products next to the belt. Many will put the product on the belt, even if it wasn’t on their shopping list.
